I fell into wedding planning by accident—three times.
It started at my cousin’s wedding. I was enchanted—the outfits, the food, the outpouring of love, the unbridled joy of the whole night. Somewhere between the champagne and the dance floor, I turned to my brother and his partner and told them I wanted to plan their wedding. The year that followed brought all of us closer, and by the end we’d built a day that felt entirely, unmistakably theirs.
Next it was my best friend, drowning in decisions and spreadsheets, and I jumped in again—not just for the tablescapes and the choreography of parking, but for the joy of helping someone I love build something so uniquely them. Then came my own wedding. Two weddings in, I figured a third would be easy. It wasn’t—it turns out it’s a lot harder to navigate the trials and emotions of your own day than someone else’s. The whole time, I kept wishing for a fairy godmother: someone to tell me it really doesn’t matter if you choose linen paper for the programs, that you’ll need more ice than you think, and that weddings can hold grief alongside joy without being any less something to celebrate.

Which is how I ended up here, as Dearly Beloved. Because no matter what your community looks like, you deserve more than a wedding planning process you can tolerate—you deserve a friend in the trenches with you. Someone who understands that the color of the napkins doesn’t really matter, except that it kind of does.
I want to get to know you and your people so together we can build a day that feels completely, unmistakably like you.
